The Unseen

image used for "The Sunday Muse" HERE
The Unseen
Chimes hang from my front porch,
have become a believer in little fairies
dispensing pixie dust.

Cobalt bottles dangle from backyard tree
evil spirits ensnared, night's witching hour
witness to moans and groans,

but come morning sun, scorched,
unable to stalk and haunt; silenced -

and my pixies are safe to play.

Fear

Fear

I'm scared of the dark
even when the moon is full.

I've seen a fox dart
across the road, eyes luminous,

scared of me.  How I wish
we could dash together,

moonlit in the field,
fear unknown.

Two Sisters

Two Sisters

Daisies woven into diadems
and kissed by the golden sun,
two sisters transform into royalty;
(far from Mother's chores)

where a lake becomes mystical
and strings strummed
create vibrato swirls
upon a sapphire surface.

A toe submerges, a head droops,
this veiled oasis,
a place where wishes are born
and dreamers

change the world.
